Rizq
Rizq is a Pakistan-based social enterprise and nonprofit working to strengthen food security by addressing the fragility of food ecosystems. Its approach focuses on reducing food waste, correcting inequities in access, and building resilience against climate-related challenges that threaten livelihoods and nutrition. Through integrated, farm-to-fork interventions, Rizq combines immediate hunger relief with long-term systemic solutions.
Rizq operates multiple programs that rescue surplus food, distribute rations to vulnerable households, and provide affordable, nutritious meals through community-based food services. In parallel, the organization works with farmers and local partners to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability, helping communities adapt to environmental and economic shocks.
To date, Rizq reports feeding over 20 million meals and reaching 800,000+ beneficiaries across Pakistan. The organization has channelized USD 5.3 million worth of donations, saved more than 2 million kilograms of excess food, and improved over 6,000 acres of agricultural land through resilience-focused interventions. Its programs are supported by a growing network of 10,000+ volunteers and partners, enabling large-scale operations across urban and rural areas.
By combining waste reduction, climate resilience, and dignified access to food, Rizq aims to sustain lives while enabling individuals and communities to reach their full potential.
